TV Console Update- Jolie Paint -

Recently I received paint, wax, and a beautiful paintbrush from a company called Jolie paints. This week I’m going to do a product review of sorts while updating my outdated TV Console. I have previously posted a couple of tutorials regarding painting furniture, so if you have any questions on the process, please refer to those here (dresser update and desk refresh).

Packaging

I must say, as soon as I received my box, I was impressed! The packaging is beautiful! Even the labels on the paint are really gorgeous and make you feel like you have a luxury product in your hands.

Products

Misty Cove is the name of the color I was sent. It is part of Jolie paints new serenity collection and is a gorgeous neutral almost gray with blue undertones. The paint is very smooth and goes on easily with great coverage. I was painting over a very dark, previously gel stained, TV Console and was able to cover it almost completely with two quick coats. At a couple of spots I did add a third coat, but still barely made a dent in the quart of paint I was sent.

The signature brush is probably the nicest brush I have ever owned! Not only does it look nice but it is really easy to handle. It has nice full bristles and didn’t shed any bristles while painting. Really big fan of this brush!

Lastly, they sent some clear finishing wax. Surprisingly, this might be my favorite product of all! I’ve only recently begun experimenting with wax products, but this one was super easy to use and apply. It gave a nice finish and was able to be buffed out to a beautiful satin sheen.

Overall, I am a big fan of the Jolie paint products and will definitely be purchasing more for future projects! For this particular project, I felt my piece needed a little dark wax on top for depth and dimension. That addition was personal preference and not anything to do with the Jolie paint products. I really love how this TV Console update turned out! The space looks SO much brighter. Check out the amazing end results.
